The review

The Chrono Heritage is Sugess’s take on the classic Seagull 1963 pilot chronograph: a 40mm steel case, a domed sapphire crystal, blued hands and the hand-wound ST1901 column-wheel movement on display through an exhibition case back. The upgraded gold swan-neck regulator and blued screws are details normally reserved for watches costing several times more.

On the wrist it wears like a vintage piece — warm cream dial, brown racing leather strap and a tall, old-school profile. The chronograph action is the real thing: press the pusher and the column wheel engages with a mechanical snap no quartz watch can imitate. Specifications were checked against the linked listing; confirm the exact configuration and seller before ordering.

The trade-offs: it is a manual-wind watch, so it needs winding most days, 50m of water resistance keeps it away from the pool, and Sugess carries none of the service network of an established Swiss or Japanese brand.
